Amy Friend is a trained Art Historian and former Museum curator who currently spends her days designing patterns, quilting and sewing while caring for her three children. Paper piecing, as well as modern traditional quilt design, bring her the most joy. She has designed for Sizzix, ThermOWeb and Art Gallery Fabrics as a part of their design teams. She works as an independent quilt designer for BasicGrey. Her publications include McCall's Quick Quilts, American Quilting, Blocks To Die For, and Playful Little Paper Pieced Projects. Amy was a founding member and first president of the Seacoast Modern Quilt Guild.
