Jacquie Gering

Jacquie is a passionate modern quilt maker and designer. She is known for her innovative "out of the box" designs, striking message quilts and unique style. Her work has been featured in both national and international publications as well as several books. Quilting Modern: Techniques and Projects for Improvisational Quilts is her first book. Jacquie is a leader in the modern quilting community and is a member of the Chicago Modern Quilt Guild, former president of the Kansas City MQG and on the Board of Directors of the Modern Quilt Guild. She blogs and shares her quilting knowledge on her popular blog, Tallgrass Prairie Studio and lives in Chicago with her husband and black lab, Bruno.
