Amy Smart

As a child Amy learned from her mother how to sew, quilt, and collect fabric. She worked in a local fabric store for 7 years where she enjoyed teaching beginning quilting classes. After discovering other quilters online in 2008 she felt like she'd found a bunch of new best friends and began writing her blog Diary of a Quilter. She continues to love to introduce people to the quilting hobby and the world of fabric addiction. Her work has been published in a variety of quilting books and magazines. She lives in Utah with her husband and four children where they love to visit the National Parks, watch goofy YouTube videos, and build forts (where those numerous quilts come in handy). She blogs at
