Five years ago if you had asked me about my future plans, I would never have guessed that they would have included a sewing machine!.  Growing up, my interest was in the performing arts, not the visual arts.  But years ago while watching my young daughter create dress up clothes and accessories using just paper and tape, I thought to myself that it might be fun to try sewing clothes.  With the help of several sewing books and online sources, I not only learned how to sew but also rediscovered my creative side.  A few years later, I tried quilting and I have been designing and making quilts ever since.  Along the way I also discovered my love for knitting, crochet, and embroidery.  These creative activities have now become a regular part of my daily life with my husband and our three daughters.  I blog about our sewing adventures at plum and june (
