Sherri McConnell

I’m a wife, mom to four, college English instructor, and I love quilts. My Mom gave me a sewing machine when I was 10, and I’ve been sewing ever since.  I began my creative journey by primarily sewing clothing, making many of my own clothes during high school.  I kept sewing during college, eventually making prom and wedding attire for others.

Inspired and taught by my grandmother, my quilting journey really began in the early 1990’s after making a quilt for my oldest son.  After starting a blog to document my creative process I became interested in designing and have since been published in magazines, collaborative books, and two books of my own:  A Quilting Life and my second book, Fresh Family Traditions. I continue to blog about my quilting life at!
