Play with your grid work by taking the classic bookcase block and offsetting each one to create this energized quilt with great movement. I integrated an offset oversized area of strips to add an element of interest to the composition.  Use two precut 1 1/2" rolls and a bundle of fat eighths, a variety of cut yardage, or raid your scrap baskets and use up some of your most treasured fabrics from former projects.

Material Requirements

• 1/4 yard of a minimum of 20 different prints or 2
• Honey Buns or a selection of scraps
• 13 Fat Eighths from the same collection if using precuts
• 5 yards of white fabric for background
• 5 1/2 yards of backing fabric
• 3/4 yard of binding fabric
• 75” x 97” Batting
• Coordinating thread

• * Optional: Spray starch or starch alternative
